The toilet block in the Square continues to serve residents and visitors, however the building does need some maintenance undertaken.

As part of a review of works required, the council feel the space could be better used by the community.

The council has made enquiries and had plans drawn up to refurbish the building, creating a modern uni-sex public toilet and baby changing facility to one end.  In the middle a new office / small meeting room for the community.  And finally a small store at the opposite end.

The plans are available here for review and comment.

The proposals' cost will need to be met by the parish and any grants the council can secure.  To manage the financial impact on the parish it is proposed to take out a loan which would be repaid over 15 years from the parish precept (the parish council part of the Council Tax).

Let us know your thoughts on the proposed changes and funding.  You can do this by contacting the clerk (details in the contacts web page) OR in person at a Parish Meeting Thursday 1st December 19:00 at the Parish Hall.
